Jack the Giant Slayer

Alright guys. One could venture to say that things are turning around in life as I am finally getting my act together with regards for my future. Although some may say I love the 60-70 hour weeks but secretly, I do not, and so onwards to better things. A lot of good things have been happening as of late, however; I don't think I can say the same for the world of movies. Let's get specific. Movies centered on fantasies and folklore are spectacular to watch because of the its immense potential for imagination and creativity. Most importantly, people get off their asses to watch it in theaters because it's fun.
When you think of Jack and the Bean Stalk what do you think about? What is the first thing that pops into your head? Is it the rhyme "Fee, Fi, Fo, Fumm?" Is it the idea of small beans turning into enormous beanstalks that touch the heavens? Or, is it the giants waiting in anticipation for the blood and bones of humans down below? Well, you'll find all that in Jack the Giant Slayer but not the one reason you went to go watch the movie in the first place: Fun. That something made me want to leave and try my luck with Oz the Great and Powerful midway. I don't even think I can put the inadequacies in one word.
You know what, it may be a bit harsh but I'm not even going to talk about the plot because you know it already. Just add an all powerful crown and a bad sense of fashion into the mix and voilĂ , you have what you need to know.
In all honesty, I watched the movie thinking that it was going to be animated. What kills me is that it would have been ten times better if it was. One of the first things I wrote while watching the movie is, "Why is this movie half animated?" I have no choice but to compare it to the likes of the Lord of the Rings series. There's such a thin line in what a viewer thinks is real in a movie and Peter Jackson danced around that line magnificently. What happened Brian Singer? Couldn't you see what was glaring at you from the screen. I'm sorry to say it was uncomfortable watching it. What saved the movie was Ewan McGregor's haircut which stayed exactly the way it was for the flick's duration. It didn't matter how many times he was cooked, soaked, or beaten. Now that is truly remarkable.
The other good thing that I got out of this viewing is that I got to see previews of two awesome movies that are coming up this summer: Pacific Rim and Man Of Steel. I can't wait for those!

This movie gets a JPB rating of 3.5/10.

Gangster Squad

Why I would choose to watch Bullet to the Head before my mind registered the presence of Gangster Squad shows me how ignorant I have been. To tell you the truth, it's due to the movie title. My mind just sidelined the flick because it thought that I would be wasting my time with a movie that has "squad" in the title. It just wasn't appealing to me. REMEMBER: Never judge a book by its cover!
It wasn't until I noticed Ryan Gosling in the cast when I threw aside any current responsibilities to go watch it. There was no other choice because, hands down, I think Ryan Gosling is one of the top actors of this time. It's because of his style, his ability to say a thousand words with just a particular look on his face, and his fluid adaptability, that he made a consistent fan out of me. Get this, he wasn't even the best part!
Set in 1949, Gangster Squad, directed by Ruben Fleischer, outlines a war for Los Angeles. On one side, you have a power hungry mob king Micky Cohen, played by Sean Penn and on the other, the law. Brolin, who plays the role of Sgt. John O'Mara, is asked by the LA police chief to create a secret crew of determined and skillful officers to take down Cohen and liberate Los Angeles from his tight clutch. O'Mara and Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Gosling) go headfirst into this grand firefight and we as viewers have an opportunity to see all hell break loose. We also have a familiar chance of seeing Gosling and Emma Stone back in action again. Tell me that they don't have wonderful chemistry. Their relationship was so refreshing that I had to go searching for Stupid Crazy Love and watch it over again.
If you don't mind me asking, what got into Brolin? This isn't the same Brolin that I saw in MIB3. He brought it and made this movie kick ass. Brolin made O'Mara the equivalent of a rampant chainsaw born just to sing doom to criminals. He was my favorite part of the movie. Gosling took a different path. He brought to life a smarter more laid back cop which made him the perfect complement for Brolin. They completed each other. Although skillful, there were a couple of instances when these handpicked cops seemed a bit amateurish but you know what? It made it all the more interesting to watch. There's something about amateur heroes kicking butt that gives you hope.

This movie gets a JPB rating of 7.5/10.

The Possession

Directed by Ole Bornedal, The Possession came out to theaters in August 2012. I'm surprised that it took me this long to finally watch this horror movie. I'm not into this genre of movies but I have been trying to be a little open minded. If I don't become more forgiving in the movies I choose to watch, I won't be able to watch any of them. Once it came out, I started searching fervently to watch the bootleg copy of this movie; however, being a little picky with how to view the flick, I chose to wait. After a little while, the idea was erased completely from memory. Roughly about five months later, I stumbled upon it when perusing the movie racks in the trusty ol' public library and wouldn't leave without it.
The Possession is about the experience of a broken family with a box that holds a "Dybbuk", a trapped malicious demon that feeds on pure children souls. To be honest, at the end of this flick, I hoped that Sam and Dean Winchester would make an appearance and help to send the accursed fiend to the underworld. I say this because Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the humble role as the father who seeks to remove the spirit from his daughter after it latches on to her. Morgan also is the father of Sam and Dean Winchester in the TV series Supernatural of which I am a fan. I have to say, if you are having trouble casting a father in any horror, you can't go wrong with Morgan. Morgan carried almost 65-70% of this movie with his fatherly aura alone.
The other 30-35% of this movie was carried by Natasha Calis who played the captive of the demon. The casting director(s) did two things right, Morgan and Calis. That's about it. Why they would put Kyra Sedgwick in here at all is beyond me. I think a better pick would be Kate Beckinsale but we can't always get what we want. Going back to Calis, I firmly believe that she was the perfect victim for this situation simply because I would unleash hell if I saw that she was hurt and I barely even know her as a person. She has the most innocent face that would have made anyone who looked upon it feel either very uncomfortable or furious that she had to be the victim of such demonic cruelty. In conclusion, it is a solid stay at home Friday night movie candidate and no, I wouldn't blame you if you went to watch it in theaters.

This movie gets a JPB rating of 6.5/10.

Warm Bodies

After participating in two disappointments, watching Warm Bodies, directed by Jonathon Levine, was a push in the right direction. Let's start at the beginning. This movie genre is not really my cup of tea since the whole zombie apocalypse/ contagion theme has been used time and time again. You can say I am a bit desensitized. After watching its trailer though, I was forced to do a double take and think about the premise of the movie again. (IMP: The trailer gives a lot of the movie away. I watched the movie some time afterwards so that I don't really remember what I saw.)
Teresa Palmer and Nicholas Hoult play the parts of Julie and R, respectively, in a time when zombies roam the world. R is a young zombie who encounters Julie while she and a group of friends are on a mission to look for pharmaceutical products that can aid the survival of a local human population. R and his group of zombies attack her group; however, he decides to save Julie because he is captivated by her. This movie goes on to depict their curious yet grave relationship and a possible cure for their current calamity. You will still have your share of blood, brains, and gun fire but fortunately not the same plot line.
Levine, who handled the screenplay as well as the directing, introduces the viewer to a new way of thinking about zombies by allowing them the option of being good or evil. If they take on the good path, they might just find themselves tapping into a potential cure; however, if they go the opposite direction, they turn into "bonies" or in other words devil's nasty henchmen. I don't think I ever saw a zombie movie in which zombies have consciences.
That aside. Let's talk about the acting. It worked. The acting seemed to be more than adequate for this movie. It was not too showy to divert the eyes and it kept you interested but you will just have to take some scenes with a grain of salt. Hoult and Palmer shared great chemistry and Rob Corddry, who played the part M, was a good supporting actor. On the other hand, I always considered John Malkovich to be a bit annoying so if being a dick is what his role required then great, I'll play along. Overall it was a decent flick with some originality.

This movie gets a JPB ranking of 6.5/10.

Bullet to the Head

I'm a bit under the weather and on an assortment of medications so I'm going to write as clear-headed as I can. My experience with this movie is finely captured with its title, Bullet to the Head. There's nothing special about it other than the fact that Jason Momoa was in it. It may have been a bit harsh but it's truth. I believe people go watch Stallone movies to watch Stallone deal a whole case of death and destruction. That mixed with the ultimate bad-boy attitude sets him apart from the rest. However, in this movie, although it was technically a "Sly" movie, people will be looking and waiting for Momoa to appear.
Bullet to the Head is about a set up that costs Jimmy Bobo, played by Stallone, his partner's life and what Stallone, accompanied by a detective, does in response. All I can really say about Stallone in this flick is that he is a beast when it comes to physical fitness but in all honesty, that's what I say about him in any other movie that he plays a role in. The only difference in this movie among other movies he acted in is that in is that in this particular one he manages to take a back seat even when he's the lead protagonist. Who took control you ask? Momoa, the new and improved Balboa. (I only jest, I just wanted to make a point with the similarity in name structure.) As I was jotting down notes during the movie, his name came up five times while Stallone's only came up twice. Why, you ask? He is one of those special actors that could play the perfect villain but in a split second can sell being the perfect hero. You right away start pulling for this guy without knowing you're slowly turning dark side.
Another point I want to make is that I personally believe Sung Kang, who plays the role of detective Taylor Kwon, wasn't what this movie needed. His character felt so out of place throughout 90% of the movie. Kang doesn't have the smell of a cop or detective on him and because of it, he had a hard time selling himself for the majority of the movie. I say majority because at one point he did make a comeback. The more I thought about it, the more I understood why such a role would be even used. Complementing Stallone with the by-the-book-out-of-place detective can bring out the ruthless characteristic of Jimmy Bobo all the more but in the end such a character is useless. This is because Stallone took a back seat anyway. So in the end, Stallone's movie turned into Momoa's and the only only scene to watch is the last. Just wait till that scene comes out on Youtube and call it a day.

This movie gets a JPB ranking of 3.5/10.

Parker

Maybe it wasn't fair to watch this movie within days of watching Silver Linings Playbook. However, something in me tells me that it didn't really matter. I went in with the full intention of leaving with a extra tank of testosterone. You know what I'm trying to say. If one goes to a Jason Statham movie, he does not leave with just a gallon or two, he is fully saturated and then some. Not only is Statham headlining the movie but who's there to back him up other than Jennifer Lopez. That name itself is all that's needed for most people to start drooling. I know, I know. She may be past her prime and it might have shown in the movie, but don't you dare say it.
Directed by Taylor Hackford, Parker, is a flick depicting how far one man would go for the sake of principles and his own honor. Parker is played by none other than Jason Statham, who is the go to person for this kind of role. How the movie turned out to be a C+ to a B viewing, I believe, was not his fault. If I was going to make a kick ass movie about revenge, thievery, and money, who else would I think of to play the part than The Transporter? No, it wasn't his fault. He carried the movie like he always does but there wasn't much he could do for the movie other than what his lines and his physicality.
First, the villains in this movie were poorly chosen. You can't have Michael Chiklis play the role of the lead antagonist, it won't work. He has the aura of a good guy all about himself and quite frankly he's not quite there yet. I may be a little cruel in saying that and trust me I don't feel that good saying it. I'm glad that as an actor he got the role but he could be making a much better movie with what's going for him. He took a risk in taking up this role and I think it didn't quite work in his favor.
Secondly, I want to go watch a movie in which the actors and actresses actually say their lines out loud and not have them prerecorded and then played back while they lip-sync. It's a jab in the ribs for those people who spend 10-12 dollars to watch a movie. If one has to make a movie with little to no character development and laughable animations, please if nothing else, have the actors actually say their lines. We are in the 21'st century. We have the capabilities of making movies like Avatar and Transformers look convincingly real. So please, use existing knowledge to your benefit. This review is a bit harsh ain't it.
It wasn't 100% trash. I still left with something. Something I always leave with after watching Statham in action. A feeling of desire to move ahead of other people, to be smarter, and to be a foot in front of the crowds surrounding me. Sigh, at the very least they got the lead role right.

This movie gets a JPB rating of 3.5/10.

Silver Linings Playbook

This is a must see. I don't think I can put it more simply than that. What I want you to do is the following. Grab your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, wife, or even that person that you have a weird connection with but don't know where you are in your relationship and go see this movie. It's not even funny how good this movie is. By doing this review, I'm not doing any favors for Russell but I want to do it anyway. Meaning that even at the end of the review you decide to not watch the movie, go watch it anyway because I screwed up pretty bad.
Directed by David O. Russell, Silver Linings Playbook, outlines the importance of relationships in the midst of hardships. Sure there are many other movies with the same underlying theme but trust me when you add mental illness, the Philadelphia Eagles, Jennifer Lawrence, and Bradley Cooper to the mix, you get a movie that surpasses. This is definitely going off tangent but I can't contain myself. Do you remember that song that you didn't really like the first time you heard it but after the second and third time, you can't get it out of your head? That's Jennifer Lawrence to me. To put it bluntly, she has a vice grip on my heart. In my humble opinion, I thought she was alright in The Hunger Games and House at the End of the Street but it was all to prime me for this one.
Cooper plays the part of a young man that has trouble accepting his ruined relationship with his wife which led him to spend some time in a psychiatric center and is now looking for a strategy to deal with the anguish. (Jammed packed sentence, I know.) Lawrence, also disgruntled, lost her husband through a car accident and is also looking for her own method of dealing. Did I mention that Chris Tucker plays a part in all of this? Who else that Chris Tucker can add a little levity to any situation? It came as a complete surprise that he was in the movie. In the midst of all the things happening around their lives, Coops and Jennifer find each other and begin to start a relationship that could in the end make things so much worse or can lead their lives to something different entirely.
Before I even watched the movie, I believed that Bradley Cooper would be the one to carry it. However, it was a perfect mesh of character between Cooper and Lawrence. Lawrence did look a bit young for the role but hey, I only thought that after the movie was over. She did a great job in masking the 16 year age difference while in front of the camera. Another aspect about this movie that hit close to home is that it featured a native actor from Bollywood, Anupam Kher. I won't be surprise if you asked who that was but he is in a couple of my home favorites.  Expect very amusing W.T.F. moments, a pinch of heart warming, and sore cheek bones. That's all I'm going to say. Just go.

This movie gets a JPB rating of 8.5/10.

Lost my notes.

Good news and bad news. Good news is that I watched both "Les Miserables" and "The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey" and was overall, satisfied. They are both movies that one should see. I also wrote notes regarding "Les Miserables" and how I was going to approach writing the review. Afterwards, I kept the notes inside my planner so that I could pull it out when I was ready to do exactly what it is that I am doing now. However, they have disappeared. Which means, I might just have to watch the movies again to get those ideas back. Remember what I said though, I was satisfied not blown away. They are not movies that I will want a copy of when it comes out on DVD. Though out of the two, I will have a better time watching "The Hobbit" and you'll know why soon. No offense to those who really liked the other but it's just my opinion. But where could they have gone? It's not like there is someone on my tail who thinks my movie reviews are genius and can't help but to have an original copy of my brilliant brainstorming. No, that can't be it. Maybe, I just shredded it by accident at work.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As the new year is right around the corner, I was contemplating about coming back and continuing to write for the blog. I'll probably start slow. Maybe some movie reviews here and there. There are a couple of movies that I am very excited about including Hooper's Les Miserables and Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey. To tell you the truth this entry is a bit late...fine, very late. I wanted to start a bit earlier to talk about Ang Li's Life of Pi and John Milius' Red Dawn, but they were downers and I didn't really have anything good to say about any of them. Well, I can't say that I totally disliked Life of Pi but it wasn't what it was cracked up to be. (To me anyway.) It's likely I will write something about Pi a bit later. I'm not going to stain myself with Red Dawn. Sorry, not going to happen Milius. You can't make me!

Achem...Here Ye, Hear Ye.

Guess what? I got the job. The base pay wasn't what it was drawn out to be but it's not the worst. I would have been more joyous on this occasion but I was sure that the pay would be a bit more compensating. Aside from that, I have done it. I finally got my second job as a Member Associate at a Credit Union. 60 hour work weeks, here I come!

Past few days

The past couple of days have been somewhat eventful. My quest for a second job is still underway. To be totally honest, I thought that I would have had that job by now, yet here I am. I applied to a local credit union to be a customer associate/teller, which is one of many teller positions I applied for a couple of weeks ago. It was the only one that promptly gave me a call back for an interview. I had the interview yesterday morning with the Director of Retail Services and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. If you asked me how it went, it wouldn't be an easy question for me to answer confidently. It could have resulted in two ways. Either they thought I was an excellent selection for the job (although not quite qualified as the rest of them) or that I'm just plain old under-qualified. Deep in my heart I think that I didn't get this job.
My cousin has this magic 8 ball in his house that I have been shaking quite a number of times asking it if I had gotten the job and all it comes up with is, "Can't say at this time." Sure, I went to that interview in a suit that  metaphorically had the word "dashing" exquisitely written in Vivaldi font all over it but I have this weird feeling in my gut. If I was asked to sell something to those interviewers, I could have done it with my allure alone. Black on black on black with a fine stroke of red perfection. However, they didn't ask me to sell them anything. Too gaudy? Fine, I give. I just want to get my foot into the financial world. My dad's career is in finance, maybe I'll find some clue as to what I'm supposed to do with my life there.

Strange times

In the past couple of days I've found myself just searching for guidance. I don't know where to go from here. I've never been so confused in my life. According to the counselors at school, any which way I go, I would have to spend another 2 years of my life there to finish a degree which is just way too long for just some degree.
I've been driving a lot lately and then some because either I wanted someone on the radio to just say something to set a spark in me or because I just didn't want to stop driving. The way out isn't revealing itself to me.
Even when I'm in the pits right now, I'm still somehow pulling off more mistakes. Every time I look in my emails, there are just more and more job rejections. I don't know if you will understand this next part but I'll say it anyway. There's a battle going on inside me. There's that good voice that tells me what I'm doing is wrong and it will only lead to worse things further on in my path and then there's that voice of ignorance that tells me to do it and deal with the consequences. As you can see that voice of ignorance is dominating in my life. I really don't think voices on the radio or 100 more miles will help me choose the right voice.

Twisted in all directions

The last few days have been very confusing. My parents and I had a talk about what's going to come and even members of my immediate family got word of my situation. After some time of deliberation it seems as if my parents want me to go back to school, immediately. Their reason was that if I didn't hold up my status as a full time student, I would have to start to pay for my own insurance. However, in reality, that's not really the case is it? According to the ObamaCare policy passed in 2010, all young adults up to the age of 26 can be covered under their parent's insurance policy, whether or not they are a full time student. So in other words, my parents want me to go back to school and graduate with some sort of a degree because if I don't, I wouldn't be under their insurance plan anymore. It wasn't until a little later after my discussion with my parents that my brother clued me in on this policy.
But in the few moments in between talking to my parents and finding about the plan, I felt good that my parent's wanted me to go back to school. It might not be the school I am necessarily in, in all likeliness it most likely will not be. I don't know what it was but inside I felt a little relieved. Nevertheless, at the same time, I wanted some time to myself to figure out what it is that I want and to rebuild myself. I have no money in the bank. I don't have any true dreams or aspirations. Today, as I was driving back home from saying goodbye to my city apartment for good, I fantasized about me singing whatever it was I was listening to at that moment, and the crowd going wild. But it all honesty, I don't have a singing voice and I don't know how to dance. So that isn't a fruitful future goal either. I don't know what I'm supposed to do and the past week or two I have been readying myself for a loaded work schedule. My mind was set on attacking these loans at full speed and now, I have to think about going back to school. Some people might call me a very selfish and ungrateful person and based on what I have done the past few years, I agree. That doesn't change the fact that I feel truly lost and I don't know what to do.

Bits of the past and future.

First off, the career search is underway and and I got an email for a possible interview to be an insurance sales agent. The more I looked into it, the more I begun to realize that almost everyone who puts their resume online gets emails and calls from insurance companies. So this is the first of many emails to come; however, what company will search for potential employees on a Sunday? Maybe it's normal? I'm going to give it a solid week to make a decision and in the meanwhile research and assimilate myself with anything I can find on those who want an interview. Look at me sounding like a hotshot that just graduated from a fine school. But hey, if I'm into something, I'll be the best at it.
On a different note, I was looking through an old portfolio that I created during the end of high school. It was, at that time, for a senior English project, but now its one of the storage spaces for writing that I doodle on a piece of paper from time to time. I don't mind sharing them. It may help me in times when I don't have much to say.

Detox.

Detoxification is definitely what I need right now. I'm definitely going to use this time to fish out all of the bad things about myself and deal with them. I feel as if my core is straight black. You might not understand but I feel as if my life won't fall into place unless I do it. It's going to take a while but hey time is what I have. So just go with me on this. It's going to be difficult as hell but it has to be done. At least it's not a midterm or final where you either pass or fail on just one try, right? First things first, this place needs some cleaning and then back on the job hunt. Let's see what posts came up today.
On another note, I mustered up the courage to talk to my dad about my situation yesterday night. He knew it already. He's my dad, how could he not know? I didn't have to do anything else but greet him and he just did all the talking. It's going to be a while till we could be friendly with each other. It's not like he's mad at me or anything, he's disappointed and a bit clueless about my future. In a way it's worse but we're not on bad terms but it's going to take some hard work to see us laughing together. Once I get my life on track or in a direction maybe we'll make up.
I have been thinking about my future, what my dream job will be, what I will be doing in the next year or so, and if I would even be successful. All that's still up in the air. Of course, I know where I want to be in terms of a dream but not what I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life to get me there. Just like my dad, I too am clueless. I'm just going to have to take it a step at a time and build myself up brick by brick. Starting from square one.

I should have known.

The "whatever, once I pay off these loans, I'm out of here" mentality is slowly fading away as I dive into the world of entry level jobs that just require a high school diploma. I went into work today to do inventory and one of my co-workers approached me. (She knew about my position.) She proceeded to tell me about how her daughter curses herself everyday because whatever money she makes, only pays for the interest on her student private loans. Reality ever slightly started to creep in. I know it's going to be a while till i finish paying off these loans but damn, am I going to be paying it off my whole life? I feel as if I have been living my life as if it was some kind of experiment and I could put myself into another body and live a life free of the mistakes I made in the "experiment" one. The thing is, there is no such thing! Did I lose you? Nevermind. The more I think about it, the more I just want to run away to some distant country but I can't really do that can I? I have to own up to my mistakes, buck up, and find that other job and go to the bank and see what I can do.
This looking for jobs thing is no joke either. I really have to start going out into the field on Monday and sell myself to find that second job. As of right now, I don't think I'll get a second look. I've gained a superfluous weight, have no money for a haircut, all my good clothes are at my apartment at school. I'm in a total *#&^hole right now. Well whatever happens after this, especially if it's good, will be because of some really hard work on my part and some luck, whichever comes first.

Imperative but somewhat Impossible

One's motivation or drive shouldn't feel this distant; however, I can't move forward anymore without it. Time is of the essence as well. Every time I think of something to propel me forward, I repeatedly come up short. Nothing comes to mind and it stings. To bring forth change and to beat dreadful daily monotony, I need to come up with a force to push me higher than before. This is difficult because nothing ever lasts for me. Great ideas are put into motion to find themselves sequestered within weeks or months. The thrill of starting something new, something foreign, dissolves. I could never finish something that requires continuous work and this simply won't do. Maybe you understand what I am saying, some of you might not.
I feel as if I'm walking daily with an empty mind moving through life's situations solely through physical acts, like I don't have an inner self. What is it that I want? What goal can be that important to me that I obtain it no matter what? If I get a hold on those answers, the upcoming days could be that much more manageable.

Hey

It's been a while hasn't it. A lot of things have happened since the last time I posted an entry. Not all of these things are things that I am proud of. Neither are they things that I would like to talk about at this moment. Maybe when I am ready, I will slowly have enough peace of mind to release them from the hollows of my mind into the form of words. Just know that I am back on my feet and warming up my fingers to do more posts. Sure it's been a while but I haven't forgotten the power that writing has on a person's mind. Maybe it would have been better for me to start writing earlier but I just didn't want to...had no motivation. Thanks for everyone for still following me. It really does mean the world.

Remember

The past couple of days have really put a thought into my mind. A thought in a form of a question. Where would we be without our friends? I have a great couple of friends and sometimes we just sit on a couch just talking or sometimes just doing nothing. I have friends that I could only talk to online. These people are there for me day in and day out, no matter what shape I'm in or what I've done. If there are those of you who think one could tread through life alone, he can't and all he will be in the end is by himself. I love those around me even if I don't show it enough. This post is not because Thanksgiving is around the corner but I just felt like it tonight. We don't really make ourselves. Our identity is made by everyone we hold close to our hearts. We stand out because of those guys. I take them for granted sometimes but there's always a point in our lives when we can't escape that fact. I don't want to run away from it nor am I going to. I'm going to embrace it just as they embrace me.

Changes

Life's been a little hectic but the past few days has been an epic wind down for me. Epic because I've been bumming out a little too much. I missed two consecutive classes already and I didn't go to work for one of those days. To make it worse, I didn't even call. (I have never done that before. But it' alright, my boss was understanding.) After that final, I just didn't want anything to do with classes and plus the first few are easy to make up. All I wanted to do was lay in bed and I didn't really miss much. However, it's time to get back on my feet and be responsible again. What's on my schedule today?
Do an assignment that is worth 25% of my grade.
Go swimming.
Study three lectures of Drugs and Diseases, which includes two that I have missed.
Do an extended Laboratory report
Study Compounding.
Nice huh? The only thing I'm looking forward to is swimming. I haven't done that in a while.
